இரண்டு எதிர்மறை விருப்பங்களைப் பற்றி பேசும்போது ‘Neither Nor’ பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. அதாவது எதிர்மறை வாக்கியங்களில் ‘Neither Nor’ என்று பயன்படுத்துகிறோம்.

‘Neither Nor’ ஐப் பயன்படுத்தும் போது, ’verb’ க்கு அடுத்துள்ள ‘subject’ ஒருமையில் இருந்தால், ‘singular verb form’ ஐப் பயன்படுத்தவும்.
‘Subject’ பன்மை என்றால் ‘plural verb form (பன்மை வினை வடிவம்) பயன்படுத்தவும். जैसे की:-
1. singular verb form (ஒருமை வினை வடிவம்)
English: I had neither money nor any property to give my son.
Tamil: என் மகனுக்குக் கொடுக்க என்னிடம் பணமோ சொத்துகளோ இல்லை.
2. plural verb form (பன்மை வினை வடிவம்)
English: Neither I smoke nor do my friends are smoke cigars.
Tamil: நான் புகைபிடிக்கவில்லை அல்லது என் நண்பர்கள் சுருட்டு புகைக்கிறார்கள்.
Note: ‘Friends’ இந்த வார்த்தை ‘பன்மை (plural)’ எனவே ‘are’ என்பது அதனுடன் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.
Neither Nor-Example
‘Neither Nor’ இது இரண்டு வார்த்தைகளை இணைக்கும் ஒரு Correlative Conjunction (தொடர்பு இணைப்பு) ஆகும்.
‘Neither Nor’ என்ற சொல்லைப் பயன்படுத்தி உருவாக்கக்கூடிய சில வாக்கியங்கள் (Sentence) பின்வருமாறு.
